The introduction of the BPaLM treatment regimen for MDR-TB marks a pivotal shift in TB care under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). Guided by the latest WHO recommendations and national expert group insights, this workshop will equip healthcare providers with evidence-based knowledge on the BPaLM regimen.

The training programme is designed for the existing Laboratory Technician & STLS of a TB laboratory, with a purpose to acquaint them with the new skills, methods, and processes required to carry out Truenat testing in the laboratory

Objectives of the training:

WELCOME TO CBNAAT (GENEXPERT MTB/RIF)TRAINING

The purpose of the CBNAAT training for Laboratory techinical staff to orient about Biosafety, Principles of CBNAAT testing, Key steps for processing of samples, Result interpration, Recording and reporting of results  

• To provide refresher training to participants to perform Liquid Culture for Isolation and Identification of M. tuberculosis using BACTEC MGIT 960 System
• To renew any outdated or obsolete information picked up from previous training
• To update the participants on any new information/ guidelines related to the technology
• To undergo competency assessment after completion of training

This Refresher training course is focused to train the lab technical staff on performing  Line Probe Assay for First line and Second line anti TB Drugs
